In Orange County Superior Court, eFiling has been mandated since January 1, 2013 for all documents filed in Limited, Unlimited, and Complex civil actions unless the Court rules otherwise.
Beginning September 3, 2013, most documents filed in Probate cases in Orange County Superior Court must be submitted electronically.
Registered users are able to eFile, eServe, and track the entire filing process from any location having internet access to a secure web browser.
About eFiling and eService
Commencing January 14, 2013, electronically filed documents subject to the mandatory electronic filing requirements in civil limited, unlimited, and complex actions can be filed until midnight on the day that the filing is due, and will be considered timely pursuant to Code of Civil Procedure section 1010.6 subdivision (d)(1)(D). The document is “filed” at the date and time it is received by the court and the confirmation of receipt is created. See Cal. Rules of Court, Rule 2.259(a) (1). Any electronically filed document received by the Court on or after midnight will be file stamped on the next court day.

eService: In lieu of firm service copies physically delivered, an eService copy may be requested, at time of eFiling. Save time and costs by eServing firm service copies. eService recipients must be registered to Orange County Superior Court’s case management system.
If a party has eFiled in Orange Superior Court, the same party has consented to receive service via eService.
